Well, lets get started and what do we have here.."taare zameen par" Basically i was in a mindset that i would never ever watch a hindi r tamil movie but since i was hearing "taare zameen par is a good movie u sud give it a try" wherever my ears turn and on this occasion i did not have a choice...hmmm...lets get serious...i share a personal feeling
wit dis movie...the boy's childhood was similar to mine...leave alone the blabbering part(which i had only wit sanskrit)but enjoying the roadside view while in class...the habit of playing wit dogs on the streets(which i left out later when one tried to bite me)and bunking the class and sleeping in my school bus..getting punished every time... the list seems to be going on and on,but the point is that while watching the movie,i was fascinated
by each frame...i kept on wondering
how the hell the director knew all
this...i mean how does he make it
so realistic, nothing was exaggerated here in the movie...everything shown in the movie is practical and is possible
to happen.Each characters had their
own speciality...even though the mother..brother and the other characters were expressive..i personally think that the role
of the father..teach and boy was
difficult...and moreover the father
did not have much dialougues he
had to deliver his message though his actions,to be more specific
his emotions...hmmm my thoughts for this movie seems to be going on
forever like droupathi's saree..and
if i continue like this then i may have to see my past of being an outstanding student(otherwise
standing out),because its getting late and may be it will be "Anda
paper par!!" in my case, but before
i stop my review..i would like to add on an extra info..i have seen many children and personally
know a special child like the one portrayed in the movie..his name is Hari..i go to his home occasionally and play music for
him, play with him for a while....it feels really good rather than sitting and watching a movie like this and crying...and all this remains till your handkerchief is wet...i am not trying to say anything against the movie or anybody but at least you may try
to visit one such child and spend some quality time with them and i bet it would be really wonderful
for you..and i also got an information from Hari's father
that the government is now trying to modify the eduction system of
special children similar to that
in the movie...now i hope everything is set for good...yet
another extra..quote a line from a book i read,i actually use the book as my handbook or guide...the author says-"Obstacles are not to be boggled at,but to be surmounted"

"Taare Zameen Par", don't you think this movie definitely deserves appreciation for the story and screenplay? I can say the story has captured the hearts and minds of a generation.I would partly accept the mothers view posted on this blog, that the movie went on a quite slower pace. But the character Ishan Awasthi was extremely realistic.I think the credit goes to the songs, which actually sunk with the mood of the movie. The lyrics, which go,"kya mine ithna boora hoon mine ma...", and "apko malum hai na ma.." deserve special mention. Now, talking about the most touching parts of the film, the scene where Ishaan runs around the basket ball ground in front of his parents triggered buckets of tears in my eyes. Also, the scene where Ishaan feels proud and happy when he explores that his picture has been painted by Aamir Khan, leaves us moist eyed. For that matter, there are many such heart-rending scenes in the movie. As Ishaan's mother, Tisca chopra has emoted the feelings of mothers of such children in an extraordinary way.The bond between two brothers have been well portrayed(which actually left me wondering if there could be such a caring, affectionate brother!).The last scene brought me a sigh of relief, where i atlast got to see happy and satisfied smile on Ishaan's face. The two boys, as Ishaan Awasthi, a dyslexic third standard student and Rajan damodaran,Isaan's friend, have proved their talent with excellent performances. As Ishaan Awasthi's mother, father and brother each one has given their best on screen.Aamir Khan has proved to everyone, his success as an actor and also a debut director.Honestly speaking, if it wasn't "Taare Zameen Par", we wouldn't have known the seriousness of dyslexia. In the end i would like to conclude that, TAARE ZAMEEN PAR is a MUST-WATCH MOVIE.

"TAARE ZAMEEN PAR",When i first saw this title with its sub line that,'every child is special',i thought that this story might be centered around a deprived childhood .This was maintained in the first frame, where the boy looked shabby catching fish from a small canal. But to my excitement absolutely not...The story line goes around a 7yr old boy suffering disorder,'DYSLEXIA' which i never heard before. The character of the little boy Ishan Awasthi was portrayed fun filled. He failed almost in all subjects. He could not read correctly for letters appears to be dancing for him due to his disorder. His parents failed to take care of him. They never consoled them about disorderness of their younger kid for their first kid stood first in academics as well as sports.Awasthi's father threatened him to join him in boding school as he created conflict with neighbours and failed to study...The poetic lines of the song which was sung during his joining in new school made viewers to hate ishan's parents. It touches the internal heart of the viewers. Now coming to the character which i amazed, i will say Nickom played by Aamir khan.According to me a teacher should be a friend, guide,EXPLORER and also a tutor..The character possess all the qualities which i expected....His love towards the challenged people said something to my conscience, which i could find no words to express......The way he mended Ishan was mind blowing!!!!!Nickom as a good teacher never failed to bring Ishan's hidden talents to light...I assure Nickom was the explorer of the budding artist.I could say,the picture of Ishan drawn by Nickom must be his masterpiece..The movie never slipped to convey its motto that every child is special to the society..The director made the napkins of the viewers drowned in tears at the end of the movie.....Hats off to the SCREENPLAY and DIRECTION...To say shortly 'taare zameen par' is a pool of sentiments where we happen to swim in tears................

The story line of “Tare Zameen Par” is unusual but not unknown. The message that the story tries to convey is already known to us, but most of us just remain ignorant to it. The movie isn’t just about a child suffering from dyslexia and his challenges, it’s also about how parents get carried away by today’s competitive world and fail to understand their child’s nurture their dreams and inborn talents. I agree that I disagree with the comment “The film is too slow”; I fell that certain stories need to be dealt in a slow pace. Some stories will lose their effect when the screen play is too fast than what is required for the story. If the film had been fast, the movie must have failed in rendering its emotional impact on us. No one would have felt sorry for Ishaan.

Many occurrences in the film touch the “bottom of your heart”. Especially when ishaan is sent to the Boarding School, the whole family faces an emotional turmoil –which is very brilliantly portrayed in the song “Maa…..” . The warmth between Ishaan and Yohaan is genuinely showcased. It is pleasant to see a supportive bother at least on the screen. Darsheel Safary(Ishaan), the kiddo, delivers a knockout performance. His expressions, body language, dialogue delivery are so very perfect. After a point of time we are convinced that he is really suffering from dyslexia. Aamir Khan, the director, deserves a special mention; he has handled the delicate theme with dexterity and precision. Tisca chopra and Vipin sharma (Mr. & Mrs. Awasthi) have done a fantastic job. They have just reflected how a normal middle-class Indian family would react in such situations.

TaareZameenPar proves that a film without the commercial mix and item dances can still be equally as entertaining and successful at the box office. IT IS MANDATORY FOR BOTH PARENTS AND CHILDERN to watch this film, for it will change the way you look at your child and the world.

"TAARE ZAMEEN PAR"!a cool and sensational movie which had a great impact on my personal life.i was like a FISH OUT OF THE WATER while watching the movie.hmm...let's get into the movie.the small boy ISAHNT'S playfulness is so jooly to watch. though the first half of the film is like eating icecream, next scenes is so sensitive.but it's too over for an nine year old boy to bunk the class, putting his father's sign in his report card.but i was totally touched when the small boy longing for the parents in the boarding school.really my eyes drowned in tears because iam also staying in hostel.the boy getting scoldings from everyone is something similar to my school days.

AAMIR KHAN'S introdution attracted me very much.the scenes where he is spending with the challenged childrens really touched my heart. there i felt that each child is special.the song where all the children dancing is so sensitive.even though ishant's mother didn't have dialogues her affection towards him is so touching. the bald man(father) character is so arrogant towards the small boy.finally i was convinced with my tears when my hero fins the problem with the boythat he his suffering from "DYSLEXIA".

although everyone was specialised in something, our small hero is good in art. his imagination made him to draw well. but unluckily his parent's were unaware about his qualitytill now i haven't watched such a sensite climax in many movies. but the climax in this film really loaded my eyes and heart.the bond between the brother's is clearly told.

so. this is the film where everyone should must watch.BY watching this film only i felt how dyslexia is serious. the bottomline of this film where i know is EVERY CHILD IS SPECIAL.

I like this film.the film is very nice and crying.the story line of the film attracted me.the film sentiment very touching.the children like film "TAARE ZAMEEN PAR".the film is popular.the lines of the song sung during.his entry in hostel P"touches" the heart.Ishan awasthi could not read his subjects.he has the problem of "DYSLEXIA"....he never open his mouth in his new school."NICKOM" his art teacher took care of him.Ishan awasthi is studing in 3std.he identified his talent in painting and made everybody to notice him.the scene which vacated all my tear's from tear glands is he,ran through the basket ball coat on and on when his parents came to visit him......the characterwhich i like most in this film is Ishan awasthi:Ishan awasthi is beautiful and cute boy.his friend in "RAJAN DAMO DARAN "...i like Ishan awasthi.he has one elder brother.he is good character.he is also a good student.he is a good painter.Ishan awasthi father name is "AWASTHI"....Ishan awasthi fevarate work painting.the relationshipbetween two brotherwas portrayed in good manner he was interested in painting rather than his studies.i think the director has tried to portry something the everyone should "SURVIVE" keeping aside their problem not to take risk on thier own life.a lost i most say "TAARE ZAMEEN PAR" is a depiction of the proverb "NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE".

Gud afternoon mam,
Eventhough I'm not familiar with Hindi 'Taare Zameen Par' made me cry. The climax was really superb.Aamir Khan, debuting as director, and his creative team package the film, making a classic entertainer that does not bore a second at 18 reels.
Mr Ram Shankar Nikumbh (Aamir Khan), a colourful arts teacher who – rightly and vitally – believes that every child is special, whether physically- and mentally-challenged.

And in this lies hidden the great myth about , a disorder that found only in children with above-average intelligence, imagination and emotional quotient.

The boy delivers a performance that can only be called stupendous, and no doubt a few more words can be added from the Thesaurus. 'Taare Zaeen par' delights, touches, elevates, instructs and motivates both such children and adults who have to deal with such offsprings.

While the climax of "Chake De India" was set in a HOCKEY match, here it is in an art competition, but the effect is as rivetting and cheering. Ishaan, the underdog, the boy who is a ‘disgrace’ to his parents, school and orthodox teachers with his blunders, low marks and aggressive behaviour blooms into the hero of the day, all because of the motivated Nikumbh ‘Sir’ who treated him with compassion, sympathy and affection instead of beatings, criticisms and ridicule on him!

The film takes care to paint the parents, hassled from their own perspective, as real, believable people who are ignorant of the enormity of the problem and where it can lead the loveless Ishaan. Ishaan’s animation diary is the masterstroke in the film and the impact of Ishaan’s father’s second interaction with Nikumbh is another dramatic highpoint.

The kids are simply wonderful, especially Ishaan’s brother who unwittingly makes things worse by his all-round genius and Rajan, Ishaan’s best friend in class.

It's a film of which its makers and we as Indians can be truly proud. A film for every human being who realizes that the future of mankind lies in how he nurtures today’s children. If this film does not win any Best Film award this year, it will be the awards’ loss.

At last I saw a hindi film. Yes!! it was "taare zameen par".Aamir Khan has made an classical debut as a director. The film seems to revolve around Ishaan and his childhood but later it gets into an issue which many of us are not aware of the DYSELXIA sounds strange isnt it.
Ishaan an eight year old whose world is filled with colours, fishes, street dogs, kites. He hates to do homework and fails in all his subjects. When his parents are not able to control him they pack him to a boarding school.
Ishaan's life turns out miserable at the boarding school. Then as usual our hero Aamir kahn comes as the art teacher Ram. How he makes Ishaan to come back to normal forms the rest of the story. The title track and the maa song remains in our heart.
Aamir Khan has done a good job let it be his acting , direction and producer. "taare zameen par" this film is indeed special.....

Taare Zameen Par
Director : Aamir Khan
Producer: Aamir Khan
Starring : Aamir Khan, Darsheel

Amir Khan directs a very good emotional film"Taare Zameen Par". A young boy who gots a recent best actor in film fare award Dharsheel, done a very extraordinary job on his work. A small boy playing Ishant role in this film was really nice. I thought that ishant family is upper level. So if that boy will go into the wrong way there will be not much of lose in that small boy`s life. But if that family in a very lower class what happened? that`s my question.
A lead role Dharsheel was really express his childhood expressions nicely. Otherwise his mother i don`t know her name, she gives to her son more effective love. Ending stage of the movie was gives all audiences to a tear. This kind of production is seeing in very rare movies only. In the masala movies list, we can enjoy the sorrows in this movie.................

The movie “TAARE ZAMEEN PAR” is sensational and touched the heart of the viewers! Though the movie was little bit slow, it portrays the characters beautifully with an fantastic story line. The story is about a 7 year boy, Ishan awasthi who is different and irregular in all activities. He was weak in academic and in sports too. Later the audience came to know that Ishan is suffering from a peculiar disorder called “dyslexia”. Ishan’s mother is trying to understand Isahan but she can’t able to do it! And the scene, leaving Ishan in residential school which coincides in most of the people’s life.

The character ‘Nickom’ played by Aamir khan was excellent. The drawing teacher, Aamir khan who is the highlight of this story. He was a different teacher, who feels the pulse of the students and help them to improve their skills. The plus of Aamir khan is his behavior, because he friendly to the students. He came to know the artistic skill of ishan. Aamir khan understood the problem of Ishan and he made Ishan to shine in academic career. The music by ‘Shankar eshaan loy’ gave a new life to the film. The music made the viewers to feel the emotion of the characters in this film .The child Ishan had acted beautifully. The scene I like most is that Aamir khan gave his master piece by painting Ishan’s picture. The climax melted viewer’s heart and it finally proves that “EVERY CHILD IS SPECIAL”.

"TAARE ZAMEEN PAR" is a movie about a slow learning boy and who was affected by a peculiar disorder which actually made him a slow leaner .Aamir khan plays the role of a young, friendly, motivative teacher 'nikumbh' who encourages the slow learner and finds his interests and hidden talents.

Darsheel safari plays the role of the boy but to say is he lives in the character and scores a lot in his actions (not in his studies) especially in those scenes in which he longs for his family when he was left alone in the boarding school (it touched me a lot since I related it to my first day in hostel) and in the scene in which he feel proud when his master draws his picture.

Even a small character in the movie serves their best to make the movie a successful one-strict father, helpless mother, soupportive brother, scolding teachers, physically challenged kind bench mate ... the screen play is good enough to make the movie a sensitive one which make the viewers to recall their mischiveious childwood days.

The music, the lyrics (though I can't understand it I realised it) and the background music also contributes a lot to make the movie a sensitive one. since colours play an important role in the film the camera views and lightnings were good enough to make it a colourful one.

Yet, we must also consider the mother's statment that the film is very slow which made her to sleep, but my view is that it is necassary to run the movie a little slower to bring that sensational effect.

I hate crying at movies. but in this case I can't control my tears and I'm sure this is the success of the director.I'm sure this is the movie that every one should watch especially the parents who always feel for their slow learning child to understand "EVERY CHILD IS SPECIAL".

Every one should shed on seen this movie .A movie about the relationship between a teacher and dyslexic children.I would LIKE 'ISHAN AWASTHI' character.he is an eight year old whose world is filled with wonders that no one else seems to appreciate;colours, fish, dogs,&kits at just not important in the world of adults who are much? he was very nauty and cute boy.

In first part we see the nauty ishan.he interested in painting and playing games but in school,he is least scores in his class. All teacher complaint ishan to his parents in class room he will be sent out from his teacher. The scene was very realistic and very interested to watch because so many complaints to his parents send to him boarding school. He was very restless & disturbed his friend was helped to ishan.

In second part the 'nikumph' acting was very naturalistic.the way of he move with the students was very softly. The film stress on feeling the children from all those burdens which hampers they joy of childhood."race mein dodana hitha to ghode kohi patte, bachche peda hiyehi"this dialogue from a trustrated art teacher nikumph conveys the message loud and clear. The way of changing was very good.

The last scene the most well shot scene of the film .Ishan wins the painting competition, beating his gure who had made ishan's smiling portrait. The film is also satrical about our education system and the negligence toward now ideas.

"TAARE ZAMEEM PAR" was very superb and useful for parents because 'EVERY CHILD IS SPECIAL'.

When you have to live the character and also convince the audience of your thoughts, only one person is capable of achieving it, Aamir Khan. This man not only lives and breathes his character but also permeates emotions in his fellow workers.
It’s a film about any child that doesn’t ‘belong’ the world of “normal” children, and Aamir has surely seen this up close in his own life, is my firm belief. It’s a film straight from the heart and reaches the heart.
The father is a typical middle-class man who is very clear about his ambitions for his children, and if one of his children is unmanageable, surely a boarding school education will sort him out, and of course, he is no longer responsible for the child’s misdemeanors.
The elder child is near perfect, under pressure to be the topper at all times; a superb portrayal by the young lad, Ishaan's dada. They share a wonderful rapport and the love and affection shared is palpable and moving.
The mother... Her motherhood and her stance during the scenes where she appears very much the weaker sex, is convincing. She is shown as being someone who is well-educated but has sacrificed her career and become economically dependant upon her husband.
The character that i liked isDarsheel Safary(Eshaan), so true to the role assigned to him, that one wonders if one is not watching reality itself. The child is phenomenal. This lad makes you laugh, cry, giggle and wonder that’s not all you can sometimes identify with him at moments when his mother leaves him, when he wanders on the road, thinks of cartoon while studying.
There are many moments in the film which make you sit up and truly listen. The moment which affected me considerably was a rather strong scene between the father and Aamir, when the dad, wishing to ward off any ‘misconception’ about his having cast away the son, says that his wife’s been surfing the internet in order to educate them about Dyslexia and they haven’t been sitting idle. Aamir seizes the moment to inform the parent about what care would be, in a very subtle manner- a sudden hug, a kiss and a reassurance that were the child to father, it’s perfectly all right, the support is there at all times. Isn’t that what parental care is after all about? Just before the father walks away, Aamir asks him if the mother of the child had also heard about Soloman Islands. When the tribes on this island need wood, they do not cut down the trees, they simply go to the tree and scream and shout at it. In a short time the tree fells itself and dies a natural death. This sermon itself is the turning point in the film when the father sees his son outside reading out loud the Notice for an Art Mela organized by the art teacher, Aamir. The father hurries away with smouldering tears of remorse in his eyes.
A very common aspect of a middle class family which was not taken up by any film maker so far which this team spotted and handled it excellently. Its total reminiscence of what one did or thought of doing when we were young. This isnt a movie for the children to see but for the old to see and remember and revel. Its for the parents and teachers to watch and try not to repeat those mistakes which their parents and teachers did. Its an eye opener for quite a few parents.
“India is Shining”, however I wondered why Indian movies are not shining! But this movie has done all of us Indians proud in another field. Now we can say that India has produced probably the best movie of all time across the world

I thoroughly enjoyed Tare Zameen Par I should say...
How can one not love a movie about children crafted with utmost compassion - children with special needs at that? But, is that the only reason I liked Tare Zameen Par? Maybe - maybe not. What I know for sure is that a strong one-line story is narrated extremely charmingly. It is truly uplifting when spirit wins and yet, it is not all about the spirit of winning.

All parents want their children to be toppers. Therefore, there is no place for slow learners. Nobody has the time or tolerance to cope up with kids suffering from dyslexia and Aamir Khan smartly tackles this issue in his first directorial venture "Taare Zameen Par".
Some films are meant to entertain and inform. However, this one is an eye opener and a must watch.
Bullying of children by their parents is a shameful thing and as the story unfolds you begin questioning your treatment of your child. As the film shows, the same yardstick cannot be used for every child.
The film is well scripted and all actors have done a good job although some dialogues are too heavy and preachy.
"Taare Zameen Par" would make for a good film for teachers and parents as well as kids who might be able to relate to the protagonist in the movie.
Emotions shown in the film are not over the top. They are real and often strike the right chord. So don't forget to carry tissue papers.
Humanely covered in "Taare Zameen Par" is the dilemma of Ishaan Awasthy (Darsheel Safary) - a child suffering from dyslexia. His parents demand excellence from him in every aspect of life. When he fails to live up to their expectations, he is subjected to punishment and sent to a boarding school.
He begs them to not send him away but the over ambitious father ignores him. Life becomes more difficult for little Ishaan in the boarding school - he is left alone to fend off bullies in the form of teachers.
The insensitivity of his peers, rough treatment by teachers and his parents' inability to understand his problems take their toll on the nine-year-old boy. Eventually he loses interest in everything, including his favourite hobby of painting, and stops interacting with the outer world.
And then enters an unconventional art teacher Ram Kumar Nikumbh (Aamir Khan) who had faced a similar problem in his childhood and is able to connect with Ishaan. Nikumbh's gentleness and devotion helps Ishaan overcome the trauma that he has suffered.
Though Ishsaan never expresses his fondness for Nikumbh, emotions reach a high point in the climax when Ishaan's painting fetches him the first prize. For the first time he is appreciated and applauded and this sudden fame makes him emotional. Unable to hold his emotions, he runs up to Nikhumbh and hugs him in a touching revelation of his overwhelming gratitude.
If Darsheel's name comes first in the credit, he deserves it. The gifted child artist demonstrates every nuance of a kid faced with such trauma, torture and humiliation and you feel like reaching out to him and comforting him. Aamir fits the bill of an art teacher.
Taare Zameen Par ends up being one of the finest films to have come out of the industry in recent times. It is also the birth of a new child star. It should be watched by one and all. If you have a heart, watch this movie as soon as you can because it is one of those films that truly touch your heart and stays there forever. Don’t miss it!

Aamir Khan's debut movie as a director. The movie has successfully reached the target audience. Darsheel Safary as Ishan Awasti had done his job perfectly. Darsheel Safary - He is the living legend in the movie. At the age of
8-9, a small boy expresses his emotions so well is not an easy job. Might be, some of the scenes, he would have experienced in his personal life. A students life is
potrayed as it is.

By watching this film, people are being informed by the disease Dyslexia. It creates awareness among the people. This
movie also informs people about the
teachers. The teachers who are potrayed in the movie are irresponsible. A student writes alphabets & numbers upside down and
the teachers don't even recognise that he has some problem. I think this movie is the best lesson for teachers and parents.

Darsheel(Ishaan) recently is a nominee for the best actor award. He is the apt nominee for the award. He scores through out the movie with less dialogues and many face emotions. His face is very expressive and he is the best of all among the actors in the movie; when Aamir paints Ishaan's face and when Ishaan gets the prize and hugs Aamir my eyes were wet.

I was very much touched with the movie. Very informative, innovative in nature. I hope more number of Tamil movies should comi in future based on Human emotions. This movie had thought me two things. One is the problem of Dyslexia, how to handle it and the other is Teachers and parents should have patience to understand their children.

TAARE ZAMEEN PAR
-Try to understand the child

Most of them said that the film "Taare Zameen Par" is a superb movie, its awesome and so on. So when i was watching that movie i expected more, but i was little disappointed by the screenplay. But if we see by the
script, the screenplay was excellent. The director has portrayed the school teachers as arrogant persons in order to show off his good presence. Apart from
this the film was good in the technical aspects.

The Role of Ishan
Awasthi
was carried throughout the film very well. What i liked about the film was his innovative things which Ishaan does especially the mix of two colours in the droplet was shown very beautifully. In the acting part of Darsheel(Ishaan) and Aamir(Ram Kumar Nikum) was very good. All the other co artists also had acted very well.

The film was generally taken to know the difficulties of a Dyslexia afffected boy. A mother is who should take care of a child not only in all his needs but also should analyse what his problem is when he does any mistake. Not only for all mothers but for both mother and father-parents.

The film was very nice. But, If the background score was not done properly means then the the most touching scene like "when ishaan(Darsheel) gets the 1st place, he goes and hugs Ram(Aamir) which would have not been that much effective if there was no BGM(Background Music)." So according to me, the overall performance of the movie was nice.

"Taare Zameen Par-Every Child Is Special"...... This is what the movie talks about. Presented to the world by PVR Pictures, the movie is about a young boy of standard three named Ishan Awasti, the role being played by the child artist Darsheel Safary, suffering from the disorder of 'dyslexia'. The boy,who is a very good painter, finds it difficult to excel in his academics. The teachers, who are unable to notice the problem with the child refuse to have him any longer in their school. Ishan who goes to a boarding school, also where he faces similar problems with the teachers,is lucky enough to get a suporting friend named Rajan Dhamodaran who is physically challenged and also a wonderful art teacher Mr.Ram Shankar Nikumbh(Aamir Khan),a substitute. The teacher, who had been suffering from the disorder himself takes pain to convince the child's parents and his teachers and helps Ishan out of his problem. The teacher recognises the boy's talent and also helps him overcome his inferiority complex.

Produced and directed by Aamir Khan himself, every artist in the movie has lived the character. The movie is so realistic that the audience is mesmerized. One can find the audience in tears as the movie proceeds, especially when Ishan wins the painting competition. Darsheel has done a great job winning the applause of millions of people.

I was really moved in two scenes, the one in which the boy is left in the boarding school and also the one in which the teacher Mr.Ram Shankar Nikumbh gets a tight hug from Ishan after he wins the painting competition. The child artist Darsheel who has performed like a highly experienced artist excels in acting in the two scenes. The boy touched my heart and reminded me of the day when I was left in hostel two years back. Darsheel Safary deserves the credit.

It is necessary that every parent sees the movie and realises that their child is special in one way or the other. The movie has also been presented in such a way that young children enjoy a lot.

The director who has done a very good research has also presented it in a beutiful manner. He has achieved his target. Shankar Eesan Loy's music is an added strength to the movie. On the whole, I was dumb-struck after watching the movie.

HATS OFF TO THE LEGEND AAMIR KHAN AND THE ENTIRE UNIT OF THE BLOCKBUSTER "TAARE ZAMEEN PAR".

The movie has its target audience as emotional human beings and not for the people who watch the movie just for time pass. Hence the viewer's comment is effective. The parents always think that they are the best for their children. Hence the mother's comment is egoistic.

well to start with the movie, there are no words no talk about d movie....it's mind blowing , a cool realistic movie.....
every1 have lived their character.
let's talk about our hero of the movie Darsheel Safary(ishaan)who has done a great job for the movie success... the movie is a typical real story about the boy's character..
everyone used to be like that in their childhood days, but the problem is about his "dyslexia"(in medical term).
though the first half of the movie has clearly visualized of his and every indivudual's childhood days...it seems to be so dragged so that the director don't want to miss any situations...
though he doesn't shine in his academics the problem was revealed by our director aamir khan, he was being pulled to his boarding school by his father, he misses his mom very much which was visualized by his small daydream....
after entering his boarding school he seems himself to think that he's in a new atmosphere and he don't wanna talk with any of his fellow ppl.... but he got 1 friend named raajan who's physically challenged , they both used to be together...
meanwhile our 2nd hero aamir khan enter's the movie as a joker with his song in the interval.......
then he keenly watches abt ishan's problem and he visit's to his house and was explaining ishan's situation to their parents...
meanwhile aamir khan came to know about ishan's talent in his painting.....
then he returns beck to the school and he usedto create opportunity to make ishan to speakout....
it all shows abt aamir's attitude towards this child who was unnoticable by any one in this world...
then he corrects him fully....
by takin extra classes and his paintin competition was really great. he actually conducted to bring out the talent's of ishan in dat huge crowd....
however he succeded wen ishan give's his paintin to aamirkhan wen he sees aamir khan'a paintin it was ishan's face..
the particular acene was very touching and thenwen d prize results were out and it was none other than our hero ishan and he ran and hug aamir khan it was mindblowing i was in tears......
then finally the boy was completely alright and he was out of his disorder....
aamirkhan as a directorial venture for the first time has proved his excellence........
as d saying of the movie every child is special,
it really potrays the messag "EVERY CHILD IS SPECIAL"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Taare Zameen Par
Director : Aamir Khan
Producer: Aamir Khan
Starring : Aamir Khan, Darsheel

Ishaan Awasthi [Darsheel Safary] is an eight-year-old whose world is filled with wonders that no one else seems to appreciate; colors, fish, dogs and kites are just not important in the world of adults, who are much more interested in things like homework, marks and neatness. And Ishaan just cannot seem to get anything right in class.

One day a new art teacher bursts onto the scene, Ram Shankar Nikumbh [Aamir Khan], who infects the students with joy and optimism. He breaks all the rules of 'how things are done' by asking them to think, dream and imagine, and all the children respond with enthusiasm, all except Ishaan.

Nikumbh soon realizes that Ishaan is very unhappy and he sets out to discover why. With time, patience and care, he ultimately helps Ishaan find himself.

Aamir is excellent. Note his scenes with the father of the kid. First, when he visits their home. Next time, when he cites the example of Solomon Islands. Splendid! Tisca Chopra is outstanding. Here's an actress who needs to be lapped up in a big way by film-makers.

Tanay Cheda [as Ishaan's friend Rajan Damodaran] is excellent. Vipin Sharma [Ishaan's father] is slightly theatrical. Sachet Engineer [Ishaan's elder brother] is apt. The teachers have performed well.

On the whole, TAARE ZAMEEN PAR is an outstanding work of cinema. To miss it would be sacrilege. It has everything it takes to win awards and box-office rewards!

Taare zameen par is more than watching. it is one of movie which make people feel they are

one among the characters in the movie. the movie screenplay shows the amount of work put

behind the stage. the movie highlights the fact that man has forgot to experience the beauty

of nature and no appreciates when one appreciates it. ishant comes from a upper class with

his father who shows so much care on ishant fails to understand the real weakness of ishant.

his mother one who understand him but she too fails to undertand him as his father. his

elder brother is ishants best friend and he is the only one who appreciates his real talen
ishant a very naughty child is never liked by his school teacher. he

was studyinng third standard for the second time and he never improved. all thought he was

not concentrating on his studies but the real problem behind is poor record in his studies

is identified in his boarding school.
his father who could not tolerate his chilish attitude decides to

shift him to boarding school where a child hass to stay in a hostel, a jail for a eight year

kid. his father intention of ishant getting improved was never fulfilled, he started to get

worse. the over strictness of the school made him to lose his intrest in his art

of"painting". in painting he was no ordinary child he had a brain with loads of creativity.

but due to over stictness he started to lose his creativity.
this is when aamir khan arrives. aamir khan a trainer in a mentally

retarded school join as a temporary drawing teacher in ishant school. he found something

wrong in ishanth and starts checking his class notes and finds a regular pattern in his

writting and checks the behaviour with his parents and conforms Ishanth has dyslexia. he

spends his entire time with ishanth and make him recover from dyslexia. then he arranges a

mega painting competition in which ishanth uses vibrant colours and comes out with flying

colours and makes the whole school proud.
The backgound score lighting camer and aamir khan direction makes the
movie enter our hearts

Taare Zameen Par.... A movie par excellence..
Taree Zameen Par is a movie about Ishan Awasthi-a boy who is affected by a disease called Dyslexia. It is a very sentimental movie.Viewers' eyes are filled with tears on seeing this fantastic movie.
Every person has a special talent; It is not recognised unless it is exposed. Ishan's talents are exposed by his art teacher, Nikom. This movie is a must-see for all children. It is sure to boost them towards success.
The first part of the film deals with the naughty behaviour of Ishan. His mannerism of sticking out his tongue while writing is very realistic. His mother's love is expresssed in a very naturalistic manner.Ishan is the least scorer in his class-Third 'B'.Then in the 2nd part we see a disturbed Ishan supported by his friend Rajan Dhamodharan.
A teacher? or a clown? Amir khan's entry was fabulous. The end of the movie is distinctively heart rending. The smooth waves passed over our hearts with a feather touch. A great movie, Worth watching and one which will stay in one's heart forever.
Amir Khan__Nikom:
The whole crew did their best for the movie, but the character that attracted me most was that of Nikom played by Amir Khan who did not just act the character but lived that character.Amir Khan fills our heart with joy and pleasure from the moment he enters the screen.
Be it a funny clown, a kind teacher or an affectionate friend, Amir plays it very well.
Amir's love comes as the warm glow of the morning sun, breaking the darkness in Ishan's life.
He acts the role of a good parent, one who discovers and encourages talents in a child positively. He should be well applauded.
Love the movie, Will remain in my heart forever..

Taare zameen par what a movie it was… no one can explain it in words I hardly ever cry when I am watching films. I am too much of a cynic really. But I found myself sobbing a few times. The film goes on like this Shaan Awasthi [Darsheel Safary] is an eight-year-old whose world is filled with wonders that no one else seems to appreciate; colors, fish, dogs and kites are just not important in the world of adults, who are much more interested in things like homework, marks and neatness. And Ishaan just cannot seem to get anything right in class.

When he gets into far more trouble than his parents can handle, he is packed off to a boarding school to 'be disciplined'. Things are no different at his new school and Ishaan has to contend with the added trauma of separation from his family.

Aamir Khan’s character, even if a bit too obvious - is a sensitive one. He isn’t too preachy. He is emotional because he relates to the child.
On face-value, Taare Zameen Par looks like a kiddie film, but as the story unfolds, you realize that the story peeps into the mind and heart of a kid, his interests, his hobbies, his strengths and weaknesses. The director opens the cards at the very outset, when you realize that the kid is just not interested in books/studies. And his interaction with his stern father, doting mother and lovable brother is straight out of life.

A number of sequences in the film leave you spellbound --
* Ishaan's altercation with the neighboring kid over a cricket ball;
* Ishaan's parent’s decision of putting him in a hostel and Ishaan's constant pleas falling on deaf ears;
* Ishaan going into a shell in the boarding school, looking disinterested in life. Also, the teachers punishing him for his inattentive behavior.
But the best part is reserved for the finale -- the art competition in the penultimate twenty minutes. The emotions reach an all-time high as the kid regains his confidence. The finale would melt even the stone-hearted!
Taare zameen par isn't one of those films that merely entertains, but also enlightens. Taare Zameen Par is one film that makes you peep into a child's mind and how some parents, in their pursuit to make them 'stronger' academically, forget that there's hitherto untapped talent that needs to be nourished and encouraged.
Directorially, Aamir Khan deserves distinction marks for extracting an exemplary performance from the kid and handling the plot with supreme sensitivity. In his debut film itself, Aamir proves that he's a gifted storyteller, someone who has the courage to swim against the tide and also convince the viewer that there's more to film-making than the mere masala entertainers. Bravo Aamir!!!!!
As I watched the film I understood that. I didn’t cry because I felt sorry for the kid. No, not at all. In fact this film isn’t about children with different needs. It’s about any kid who feels misunderstood.
My only recommendation is if you are going to Watch Taare Zameen Par watch it with your child. It will change your world. It will also change the way you look at your kids!
Finally thanks to the entire working team who brought this film to life:

Music: Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy

The movie was just astonishing and perfect… Aamir is always known for perfection in his movies.. (We have seen it in Lagaan) and this one is no different.. I know it is first movie of Aamir as director but his direction was much better than many experienced directors. He knows how to extract skills from actors, the kid, Darsheel, the real hero of the movie, he acted so well, his expressions will make anyone in tears.. I felt the pain when the kid cries alone in the bathroom and You feel the pain when the kid is left alone in the hostel... Just amazing. The climax was really heart touching…I had tears rolling over my eyes which I could not stop it…..
The first half of the movie is almost without Aamir Khan b, Darsheel carry’s away the first half on his shoulders and making sure that no one dares to move from their seats.
Aamir joins him in the 2nd half but this kid simply overshadows him, it was more like kid telling Aamir “Hey, you!! You better direct the movie, i will handle the things on the acting front” And it actually was like that.
The 2nd half was lot more emotional compared to first half. The movie had many touching scenes which created an impact on everyone’s heart. Few of these scenes include, Ishaan’s first day in the hostel where he misses his mother a lot and cries all alone in the bathroom..., another great scene was his first day in the Hindi classroom where he explains the actual meaning of the poetry but the teacher could not understand it. Another great scene was towards the ending in the painting competition, it was between Ram and Ishaan, no words exchanged, only expressions and those expression said it all..
On the acting front, Darsheel succeeds in winning our hearts, surely an award winning performance. I want to see him nominated in Best Actors’ award category. Aamir was great in the supporting actor’s role too. Other actors were also good.
Music was excellent, Title song was very touching, even Maa was very touching, Kholo Kholo was great mix of rock and pop .Infact, all the songs were just perfect for the movie. Thereis a moment where Mr. Avasthi, the father of the boy, comes to meet Amir Khan to show-off that he cares about the kid. This is a beautiful moment and a highlight of the movie. Khan replies in a calm way and redefines for the parent what 'taking care' actually means. I wish they had ended the movie there. It had made its point very effectively right there. After that point the movie was indulging in needless posturing and it actually trivialized stuff through an unreal illustration. That and Amir Khan's introduction song was completely unnecessary and annoying.

A world where it is natural and 'normal' to rap eight-year-old knuckles and discipline with verbal abuse and physical battering, if a child gets his spellings wrong, forgets to do his homework or fails to give a copy book answer. But the canvas of the film is so sensitive, so vast, so meaningful, it includes any and every child in its territory. So much so, Taare Zameen Par becomes the story of any and every child who is being robbed off his childhood by insensitive parents and teachers who believe their job is to create race-winning rats for the rat race rather than Einstein’s, Edison’s, Agatha Christies and Leonardo Da Vinci’s.

TAARE ZAMEEN PAR

Hmmm…..first when I read d title “TAARE ZAMEN PAR” I didn’t realize that it would be this much effective film which will rob d audience…later when I saw the film- it made my heart rob….
Indian film was always colourful, vibrant and full of life but it sadly lacked soul. But “TAARE ZAMEEN PAR” changes the face of Indian cinemas as we know it ,infusing life into it and giving it its soul….Ishaan Awasthi is simply marvelous, making us belive that he is Ishaan and not just an actor enacting a role …. And the director of the film has fantastic thoughts to make this film a super hit ….

This story is based on a 8yr old boy-Ishaan Awasthi who feels life is fully enjoyment and spends his time in his own way…. lastly the diretor Aamir khan proves there is no one who can do nothing in the world and gives life to the coat “nothing is impossible” and to the movie…
The title itself shows that all the stars in the sky are rated down in the zameen (ground)…and that star twinkles and robs our attention…!!! Hence it is symbolically said that all childrens in the world are not shined by dumping their thoughts underground….
The song “kya ma mein ithna boora hoon mae ma”??? …was the touching and fantastic line which rocks out like anything…
The line means -why mom Im dis much bad huh mom..???

Now its time to review about the story…!!!
The theme of the movie is short and crisp but hunts all the hearts..
The story starts like dis …
Ishaan with a dirt cloth catching fish on the road side..!!! suddenly a van boy comes and pulls Ishaan into the van to go to school and always Ishaan is the one who is late to the school with no polish on his shoes and even gets punishment for not doing his homework …but his parent finds Ishaan`s attitude of colours ,fish ,dogs and kites are not important in the world and are more interested in the things –homework, marks and neatness. But Ishaan`s dad wants Ishaan to be perfect and he sends him to the boarding school where there is rule for each and everything..
And Ishaan just cannot seem to get anything right in class. One day a new art teacher bursts onto the scene, Ram Shankar Nikumbh (Aamir Khan), who infects the students with joy and optimism. He breaks all the rules of how things are done by asking them to think, dream and imagine, and all the children respond with enthusiasm, all except Ishaan . Nikumbh soon realizes that Ishaan is very unhappy, and he sets out to discover why? With time, patience and care, he ultimately helps Ishaan find himself..
Lastly Aamir khan goes back of Ishaan and finds his difficulties and even retrives it .. He goes to Ishaan`s home for finding whats wrong with him….and he finally finds Ishaan to be suffering from dyslexia…and Aamir himself finds a way for his syndrome …and atlast he cures him too…!!!
The story lastly ends with a painting competition where Ishaan gets the first place…even that is the last day and after that comes the summer vacation …on the last day of the school -Ishaan`s dad and mom came to collect Ishaan`s progress report and even met their teacher and the teachers where very proud of Ishaan and where appreciating both Aamir khan and Ishaan for the progress…..finally Ishaan leads a happy life…
To conclude with ….I would like to say dat “ EVERY CHILD IN THIS WORLD IS SPECIAL”.

Taare Zameen Par drives home a strong message, making you empathize with the kid, compelling you to draw parallels with your life, making one realize that some of the renowned geniuses were once scoffed at, but the world had to bow down to their intellect later.

Sure, Taare Zameen Par boasts of a story that strikes a chord, but most importantly, it has been treated with such sensitivity and maturity that you're left shell-shocked in amazement by the sheer impact it leaves at the end of this 18 reeler.

Taare Zameen Par heralds the birth of a topnotch storyteller -- Aamir Khan. To choose a story that's a far cry from the mundane stuff that's being churned out like factory products, requires courage and conviction and to execute it with panache is a rarity.

Those who somewhere nursed a grudge that the camera follows Aamir in all his films, will chew their words once they watch Taare Zameen Par. Yes, Aamir has a key role to portray as an actor, but the camera captures the child's emotions like never before in a Hindi film. Also, let's also clear the myth about Taare Zameen Par being a kiddie film. It's not! It's about children. Note the difference!

In a nutshell, Taare Zameen Par serves as a wake up call for every parent or parent-to-be. Also, it heralds the arrival of a magnificent storyteller -- Aamir Khan. At the end of the day, it's not difficult to choose who's better -- Aamir, the actor or Aamir, the director. Taare Zameen Par is a triumph all the way from the director's point of view.

When he gets into far more trouble than his parents can handle, he is packed off to a boarding school to 'be disciplined'. Things are no different at his new school and Ishaan has to contend with the added trauma of separation from his family.

A number of sequences in the first hour leave you spellbound --

* Ishaan's altercation with the neighboring kid over a cricket ball;

* Ishaan's parents' decision of putting him in a hostel and Ishaan's constant pleas falling on deaf ears;

* Ishaan going into a shell in the boarding school, looking disinterested in life. Also, the art teacher punishing him for his inattentive behavior.

There are several moments in the first hour that make you moist-eyed. The bonding between the mother and son is remarkable. These moments effectively capture the special bonding, making you realize that a mother's mere touch can act like a soothing balm on a troubled soul.

Aamir takes the courageous stand of placing the story on Ishaan's shoulders right through the first hour and not once do you feel that the kid doesn't have the power to keep your attention arrested.

The second hour is equally challenging and most importantly, motivating. The introduction of Aamir's character, Aamir spotting the indolent Ishaan, Aamir traveling to Mumbai to meet Ishaan's parents and then citing examples of extra-ordinary men who were ridiculed by their contemporaries/peers -- these moments linger in your memory even after the show has concluded.

But the best part is reserved for the finale -- the art competition in the penultimate twenty minutes. The emotions reach an all-time high as the kid regains his confidence. The finale would melt even the stone-hearted!

Bravo!

Setu's cinematography is mesmeric. The camera captures every minute detail, every emotion, every tear with precision. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy's music is easy on the ears. 'Bum Bum Bole', 'Jame Raho' and the title track are first-rate compositions. Prasoon Joshi's lyrics in 'Maa' deserve special mention. Editing [Deepa Bhatia] does justice to the material. Only thing, the film, if trimmed [second hour], will only be more impactful. Animation and visual effects are fantastic.

Taare Zameen Par belongs to Master Darsheel Safary. A performance that make the best of performances pale in comparison. A performance that deserves brownie points. A performance that'll always come first on your mind the moment someone mentions Taare Zameen Par. A performance that's impeccable, flawless and astounding. A performance that moves you and makes you reflect on your growing years. A performance that merits a special award!

Do yourselves a favor. Watch Taare Zameen Par with your child. It will change your world. It will also change the way you look at your kids!

"TAARE ZAMEEN PAR" is the ever first Hindi fil I saw, which will also be evergreen in my mind. The movie started with the ordinary description of an extrordinary boy named 'Ishan Avasthi'.The boy small cute with a family consisting of irritated but affectionate mother, scolding father and a sincere brother'Yohan'.
The boy depicted a role of typically a 'Dyslexia'affected boy due to which he used to have dancing letters but other extravagant creative power too...
The charecters in the whole family had done a excelling performance. The scenes when the boy was forced to get into the hostel made everybody to get into sea.Getting into Aamir Khan's role as a producer, director and the actor was amazing.when we need to list out his positives in the movie, his great attempt of dislocating our perception gets a major role.the non usage of suicide attempt of the child immediately after his depression is simply superb.
But ther are some defects too.to make the film imperessive and unforgottable, he had made each and every scene too descriptive and long..which may create a boring feel to the audience. As being a child not with my parents except few years of y childhood ,I really feeled the film.the other charecters like Rajan damodaran ,teachers also played their roles noticeable.
Finally,it is the"Most impressive film, which expressed the exressions and made foot prints"

"Taare Zameen Par" was impressive debut by director Aamir khan giving a wonderful message to the public that every child in this world is special and spreading awareness about Dyslexia.

There were some amazing moments in the movie which will make your eyes well up :~
> Ishaan running around the sports ground when his parents visit him in the boarding school.
> He hides his face when his arts teacher spots him kneeling in punishment outside a classroom.
The scene which must have touched millions of hearts is at the end when Ishaan’s talent gets recognition and everybody looks out for him but he sits hidden in a crowd.
I would not fully accept the mothers view posted on this blog because It is movie with a message which needs to be sent across the country that few children face the difficulty and people do not recognize it and child faces all the trauma. I agree it gets a bit slow but It does capture everyone in most of the scenes.

It is MOVIE which must be watched by everyone and In the end it also tells us that each and every child need not shine only by academics :-)
