Favoutite Movie!

Hi Guys
read thru all ur posts. Interesting to see ppl like vijay who is not very comfortable talking in front of a crowd (but chatty among friends), talking so much on such imp issue! keep it up vijay! i do agree with some of his points (but 75 lines and still more???). but vijay when life doles out major problems human survive it because of hope and belief in God is a kind of hope! iam talking from personal experience. so each one will learn something fr life. there are ppl like kamal, satyaraj (karunanidhi?) who continue to practice atheism. Only our religion gives room to atheists too. let's live and let live!

next topic on role model did not take off (less controversy)

i want u to tell me abt one movie that created a great impact in ur life - tamil, telugu, eng., hindi - anything. shd specify what was special. no story or review pls

nice suggestion by few of u to practice ur language skills. but one thing i wd like to remind u all is that this is an online blog where abbr and short forms are accepted. short forms shd be comprehensible to everyone. no need to worry abt capitalization here. but definitely NOT in answer papers. chill out guys why are u all sounding so serious and stuffy! the idea behind blogging is to enjoy and practice our language skills. that's it!
hoping to hear from u abt interesting movies! again let me remind u no stories or reviews.

Thank God!!
Thank you too mam,for starting a new topic.Otherwise these very sincere guys would have stuck to the topic related to God.Like everyone else i am happy to see such active bloggers in our class.

coming back to the topic about which movie created an impact in my life...honestly speaking there is not just one movie that i can mention and also i cant say that those movies actually created an impact in my life, its probably just that i liked a few aspects of it.

We all know that movies like Ramana, Anniyan, Indian had almost similar story/theme and conveyed the message -> corruption is rife.what i liked in these movies is, that concept of punishing people indulging in those illegal actions...

JUST CANT IGNORE TAARE ZAMEEN PAR, THIS MOVIE REALLY HAD A GREAT IMPACT ON ME... i learnt something meaningful from it.ISHQ is another AAmir Khan movie, which i liked very much.... its so funny that you will die laughing!!

Red Sonja is another funny english movie i liked, which has Arnie(i suppose)in it.These are a few movies i wanted to mention... I wouldnt say these movies created an impact on me, perhaps i can say these were worth watching or rather i enjoyed watching them.

hey guys,
As Krithi said no movie created an impact in ma life and basically i don watch movies but now have started that habit to watch movies and till now not even a single movie has made an impact in ma life, everyone said that Tare Zameen Par was a superb movie but i din get time to c that muvi, and nowdays v can c hardly a good movie ... in Tamli not even 1 ... the trend from takin good movies has changed ... am waitin for a good movie that can make an impact ... but till now the movie which created an impact in ma life was "The Passion Of The Christ" where the troubles and trials of Jesus Christ has been pprtrayed.

hi guys....I think that all the movies which we see have some impact on us in someway or the other. In that way I can say many movies but as of now let me say about Devar Magan. The movie was directed by Bharathan and screenplay was handled by Dr.Kamal Haasan.
I would have seen it around 20 times. Not only because I am a kamal fan but the movie was taken in a vey realistic way.
The film had an impact on me because the film dealt between the disputes between two villages. And the situation prevailed around my native village. The climax of the movie was really touching where Kamal reacts after killing Nasser.

Still more to come...Thats it for now....bye

hey guyz!

i havent been blogging here for various reasons.. but now think itz finally time i jumped in as well! :)

As many have mentioned above, I cant really pick one movie as the one which changed my life, though there have been a few which i'd like to mention.

1. Hey Ram! (i'm surprised at satish n kafeel for not mentioning this!) - Brilliant. Technically as well as concept wise.. great one. No more words.

2. Munnabhai series - Need i say more?

3. Rang De Basanti - Reliving Bhagat Singh.. was an ultimate experience. Though there are many places where i disagree with the movie, it made me think a lot. Brilliant performances in it, too!

4. Kannathil Muthamittal - Maniratnam at his best. A very good concept.. explored beautifully.

5. Thillu Mullu - This Rajni starrer is my favorite comedy movi of all time! I love it .. it tickles u in every scene!

6. Final Destination I, II, III - Very thrilling ! part 3 is a little damp when compared to the oderz though.

7. Harry Potter Series - for obvious reasons. :D (i can hear the groans :P)

8. Taare Zameen Par - otherz have said enuff already.

9. Om Shanti Om - Perfect commerical combination. Good to watch. Some people call it waste of time.. but i have lots to waste! ;)

10. Bomarillu (telgu version of santosh subramaniam) - Beautiful. Thatz the word. The movie lives upto its message of "Love makes life Beautiful" :)

Okay guyz... i ll go on & on & on like this.. this is jus a sample of somma ma most favourite flicks.. I request u to plz suggest some movies which i can watch!! Cheers. :)

Guys let me tell about another movie which had an impact on me and that is VIKRAM not our actor vikram the movie acted by Kamal in 1986. This movie bought the James bond feel to Tamil Nadu.

It was a high budget movie and dealt with an undercover detective agent Vikram(kamal) who is sent to retrieve the nuclear missile that was stolen.

The Screenplay was a masterpiece....i liked tihs movie because it proved that tamil cinema was capable making any kind of movies in the late 80's itself...
i think i am speaking a lot about Kamal movies....i simply love his movies...bye

Hello people ...This is GOMATHI SARNYA.The first movie which had an impact on me is 'ANJALI' Which was realeased in the same year i was born. The climax of the film(baby Anjali's death)made me cry.Though,in that age i was not able understand the theme of the story the climax was touching enough to make cry and feel pitty for Anjali character. I think even making audience to laugh, cry etc. is an impact,in that way i think almost all the movies have some impact on the audience.

Another movie i like to mention is 'SNEHITTHIYE'.Jothika has done a fabulous job.The theme was brilliant. After seeing the movie i was wondering if i could get a true friend like that in my life.....

The recent one which had an effect on me was 'MOZHLI'.it is such a poetic movie.which really impressed to the core.

so thats all for now meet you soon...

Wonderful to be reminded of Anjali.
i love that character :)

And i am also reminded of another movie here - Another marvellous effort by Our very own Kamal Hassan - GUNA.

No words really! Beautiful script. Excellent acting. Mindblowing stuff. The movie gave a new meaning to Love :)

One of my all-time favourites. The song "Kanmani anbodu" is my alltime fav song too! :)

guys
nice to see such varied collection. i too liked many of d movies listed by u all. i used to like maniratnam movies, i loved Roja! (or shd i say arvindswamy) but i have been hearing criticism abt mani that he is a pseudo intellectual. i too am slowly agreeing to dat. technically brilliant, aesthetically wonderfyl, but very cinematic, very pseudo meaning unreal. i do agree dat his movies are complete entertainment. but nowadays he seemed to be obsessed with hindi (which is not his mothertongue, so soul is missing)what do u say for this?
kamal movies like Guna, Anbe Sivam, hey ram are ahead of its time. has any one seen 'Jaane bhi do yaaron?' comedy at its best! Kamal's 'magalir mattum' borrows from dis movie (dead body joke) pls see dis movie.
i'll post my favs in next posting
